Titan Souls reminds me way to much of Shadow of the Colossus. It’s mostly a game about getting to and defeating bosses. While Shadow of the Colossus bored me a bit, Titan Souls does no such thing. The fights don’t take very long to get to and are a bit more twitchy and fast paced. Another thing that sets the two games apart is the graphic style Acid Nerve went with.
I guess the main pull is the challenge aspect. You will face bosses that only have 1HP. Don’t forget that you only have 1HP as well, oh yeh, and only one arrow at your disposal which you’ll have to pick back up. It’s all about movement, positioning, timing and aiming. Some bosses will have the obvious weak points shown. Others will have the weak points that appear obvious, but you have to get to them first. I didn’t get my hands on this at Pax this year and just got to watch it. Depending on the control scheme, Titan Souls could be a very serious contender for my wallet.
