RMM: Ailingforale’s Epic Village! Ep.1
Having my buddy Anthony do some RMM’s and seeing all that the Minecraft updates had to offer, I wanted to play more Minecraft as well. So there are only three things I really wanted to do in Minecraft and finishing my giant hole/floating fortress thing isn’t happening since I can’t get onto that server. That leaves me with two things: have fun in an amplified map or creating a village so large that it lags me! The amplified map is still rather daunting so for now I think I’ll tackle the giant village.
So it begins…
![I choose to have large biomes this go around and to just straight play where I landed... so obviously they'd put me in the middle of a desert surrounded by nothing that could be used as tools or food.](https://thevideogamebacklog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/RMM-12-2-001-1024x606.jpg)
![Oddly enough, there was a strip of one of the new biomes in the middle of the desert that had a huge tree! Fantastic news for me since it gave me food and tools and also pointed me towards a giant hole.](https://thevideogamebacklog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/RMM-12-2-002-1024x606.jpg)
![I did a bit of mining in here, but with out many torches and or weapons not made of wood, it kind of sucked and I almost died. Luckily I didn't... unfortunately I found a nice village nearby and no longer remember where this hole is. Stupid hole in the ground...](https://thevideogamebacklog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/RMM-12-2-003-1024x606.jpg)
![These are some of my new village buddies. They are a very talkative bunch... but they don't improve their options after a few trades. I guess I don't know how it works, but I've got a few emeralds now that I can... put in a box... what do you do with them anyway?](https://thevideogamebacklog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/RMM-12-2-004-1024x606.jpg)
![The first night came and there was much screaming and run around (mostly by myself). I took me a while to find and patch all the whole in my defences and figure out where all the dark places were that I didn't apparently have light coverage. That was annoying, but I've got it now.](https://thevideogamebacklog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/RMM-12-2-005-1024x606.jpg)
![Most of the village was spared from the nighttime horrors, but a few creepers did make it in and redecorated two locations.](https://thevideogamebacklog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/RMM-12-2-006-1024x606.jpg)
![Overall the damage wasn't too bad. I just need more duct tape and some elbow grease and this will be patched in a jiffy!](https://thevideogamebacklog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/RMM-12-2-007-1024x606.jpg)
![With the fortifications set and all the areas well lit, the only thing left to do is expand and have the villages do... uh... their thing.](https://thevideogamebacklog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/RMM-12-2-008-1024x606.jpg)
![Bad guy group huddles are very common around the outskirts of the town. I'm fairly sure their after my vegetables since that's what zombies and skelies eat.](https://thevideogamebacklog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/RMM-12-2-009-1024x606.jpg)
So I’m on my way to what a friend of mine is predicting as server lag. I think my compy can handle it. Either way I need more materials so I’ll have to figure out how I want to go about retrieving them. I want to maintain the aesthetics of the desert village mostly. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
