So Long My Friend TERA, So Long…

I just finished uninstalling TERA from my computer.  I just wanted to throw this out there because I feel TERA should have been one of the greatest MMO’s out there and it is now having to deal with the initial “players join and then leave” scenario.  They’ve had server merges from 11 to 3 servers to get people more together so people wouldn’t have a hard time finding groups or something nice on the Broker/Auction House.  They’ve also said they’d be doing more player focused events, more content, and maintain a commitment to giving the players what they need.  They’ve recently put out an expansion and finally put in the organized PVP.  I can dig this, but I have a hard time playing a game that none of my personal friends play.

All of this is well and good, but I’d say that unless they are ok with being a niche title, they are a bit more optimistic than I would be if I were in their shoes.

I tell you this truly though, if a good number of my buds just up and decided to play this game again, I would jump at the chance to get more action out of this title.  The combat was the best I’ve ever seen in any MMO action/non-action combat MMO I’ve played period.  This game deserves more than the lukewarm welcome that it received.

Combat was AMAZIBALLS! Story line though…a whole box of tattered schmeh. I found myself disliking actually taking time to read the quests for two reasons. One, the combat was awesome and I wanted to go do more. And two, story sucked hoover style. I’m big into story, and I love how it can bring you in aesthetically. And, as you stated…so many people were jumping boat. Something I too could restart if others did. Keep me in your thoughts. 🙂

Lol, will do man, will do. I completely agree with the story though. The concept was ok, but the text was… wonky to read at times. It made me realized how much hitting things I wasn’t doing. We’ll have to see if any of our wow buddies would jump on. I know most wouldn’t. It would most likely be just you and me kid, against the world!

I just need more peeps to play. An MMO alone is not really fun at all…

I agree with being alone. I hate not having close friends playing along with me. Even though you and Chris are a state away, I still consider you close.

I’d also like to try out the pvp, especially if they’ve ironed out the kinks. I never got to play it at all. I’m a big believer in pvp. There are some haters, but haters goinna hate…naw whadda mean!?!?
