Black Future ’88 is a Twin-Stick shooter that is about as crazy and frenetic as it looks. Set in the mind, you race through a tower that evolves as you do. You’ll find power-ups and bonuses as you progress to get to the end of the tower to kill the owner of said tower. That is, before your heart explodes. The mechanics added to your moves are pretty sweet and as well as the controller is working properly, it felt very tight and responsive. It is a bit of a Bullet-Hell as well at times if you don’t manage your enemies well enough, but that’s all part of the challenge. Which move-set will you pick? Will you make it in time? It looks pretty promising and the fact that Black Future ’88 has Co-Op only helps me be more interested.
