PAX Prime 2014: Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime
I’m not ever sure what genre I’d put Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime in. It’s fun, no doubt, but still… it’s like a more advanced Asteroids with co-op as you fly through the galaxy in your spaceship built for two. It looks like it’s built for more than two, but then there’s only two beds and no one ever really wants to sleep on the floor right?
So as I’ve said, you go flying through a super color-festival of a galaxy in a hot pink spaceship. While it’s not my favorite color in the universe, the game is fun enough to skip past that because, trust me, the last thing you’ll be concentrating on is the physical color! You’ll be running back and forth jumping on different turrets to shoot oncoming space debris and other baddies that are trying to ruin your fun.
There’s also a shield that you have to move manually around your ship to stop bad things from touching you and did I mention a giant laser? Well there is one, and it’s pretty sweet. Oh wait you’re ship also needs someone on the engine or you’re not going to move at all. This game takes teamwork if you want to rescue all of the space bunnies and last longer than ten minutes, but I do recommend checking it out once it launches!
