According to MMO Culture, FFXIV is still on schedule. This comes directly from the Japanese forums that Director Naoki Yoshida says it’s on track. I guess I can take his word for it lol. I’m not all together sure about how on track it is though. Here, you takes a look:
It looks like they are taking a lot from WoW. This isn’t a bad thing as I’ve played WoW a very long time and I did enjoy it. Could I enjoy a graphically enhanced super WoW? I’m not all together sure.
I am kind of glad that they got the questing the way they did as apposed to how it was in FFXI. You know, get the quest, read it, ask general chat… get trolled, ask your friends… get trolled, and eventually go online for how to do all the quests. This is preferred but it does look kind of funny. Maybe the summoning mobs thing is only for this specific quest, I’m not sure. I’m still keeping my eyes out though, as Square Enix has admitted that they can’t take another huge “blunder” like when they originally released FFXIV.
