(PAX West 2018) Swords and Soldiers 2: Shawarmageddon

I enjoyed the first iteration, the second was even better and now Ronimo Games is bringing us Swords & Soldiers 2: Shawarmageddon which adds more balance and online multiplayer to an already great game. S&SII:S is a 2D RTS with skill trees which help you get better units with which you use to purchase and send units across the map to break down and take out your opponent. It’s a simple enough concept, but there’s a lot of play and counter-play involved which really makes it interesting. I’ve said it before that I don’t really like competitive games, but there’s something to the formula they’ve got going on here that I really enjoy playing. They mentioned that they hear that a lot. I’m really looking forward to getting my feet wet in this game again. Perhaps I’ll see you on the fields of battle. I’ll be on the Nintendo Switch version.
