Dangerously Elite?

So a while back my friends at work suggested a space simulation game. I wasn’t very fond of them at the time but after watching a few videos and hearing about my friend’s shenanigans in the game I decided to give it a try.

When I first logged onto Elite Dangerous by Frontier, I really did not know what to expect. While the game was downloading, I went through the tutorials that were rather clever, giving you flight experience while teaching you the basics: how to collect cargo, how to shoot, how to dog fight and the such that you’ll need later on when you play the game.  After getting into the game and messing with a few keybinding (and buying a joystick because I was warned it would be easier to play with one), I started my adventure.

The Elite Dangerous universe is a large one, in fact it is supposed to be a 1 to 1 scale if I was told correctly. It’s filled with planets, stars, asteroids, amazing nebula, black holes, blood thirsty pirates, cold-hearted bounty hunters, the occasional metal miner and much more! There is always something to do whether it be for the Federation, Alliance or the Empire. The next day there was even a new update for the game, which shocked me. I was pleasantly surprised to find a game where the developers listen to their player base and add stuff to the game.  They are constantly adding stuff to the game, even now by the time you read this, there will probably be a new update. Constantly growing and evolving is one things I like about this game already. They have fixed a lot of bugs and have kept adding stuff into the game to expand on what you can do.

I have spent countless hours on this game trying a bit of everything, but so far bounty hunting is my favorite. The thrill of dog fights and the reward for surviving to claim that bounty is well worth it! I can not wait to see what Frontier adds to this game in the future! An ever-expanding universe is there, ready for you to explore it! So grab your ship and head out into the new frontier!
