Review: Plague Inc.

Do you want to infect and destroy the world? Yes? Well then you should give Plague Inc. from Ndemic Creations a try and see what you’re capable of.

In Plague Inc. you start off as Bacteria in Patient 0. Slowly you grow and spread to more people and eventually more countries. You can’t just evolve quickly; you have to carefully plan your evolutions or the world will spot you and stop you before you grow into the next black plague! Watch how you spread throughout the world with godly top-down oversight! Watch as each infected ship or plane travels to other countries to spread the disease more.

This is the main screen you look at when playing the game. It’s clean and simple.

Watch as DNA bubbles pop up on your screen and break them to earn evolution points that you spend on upgrades! That’s how the young disease grows stronger and of course spread to infect the world. With each evolution comes new and better options to choose from!

A look at the basic symptoms you can evolve for your disease and get higher on the ladder.

With so many different options to evolve, each disease you pick can be different. Do you cause coughing or any other lung related symptoms? Or do you affect the head and sleep cycles of the masses? Though you’d better watch out, depending on your evolutions and how quickly you spread, you may be discovered by doctors that will then try to cure you! The best way to fight that battle is through abilities! Assigning points to certain abilities will help you fight drugs, resist climate and spread easier. So grow strong and deadly! Your mission, should you choose to accept it is to kill humanity. Though do so on a tablet or smart phone game of course…

Final Score:

I downloaded Plague Inc. instantly when I found it and gave it a try. I was amazed on how fun it was from the start, hour after hour I played this game. Each time it was challenging, and unique. With multiple ways to spread, evolve and kill it made each game almost unique in the aspect that you can play with certain themes to really challenge yourself. Sadly I have yet to beat the game with the fungus type to progress onto the next disease type in the free version; it is rather difficult if you don’t have the gene structure to work with. So I plan on buying the rest of the game to enjoy the other challenging aspects of the added types of disease and Gene structure.

Plague Inc. only costs $1.06 to upgrade from the free version on Google Play making the game well worth purchasing.
