WiiU Launches!

So I decided that even though I wasn’t super excited about the launch lineup that I would go ahead and pick up a WiiU anyway at the midnight release.  Needless to say… that didn’t happen.

These are the people that stopped me from getting a WiiU at midnight. I’m not harboring much of a grudge though… much.

So I was told to come back and pick one up when the store opened at 7am to get a chance at the last two that corporate told us to hold for the add that morning.

This time I felt the odds were more in my favor.

Needless to say I got in and was able to purchase my WiiU with minimal difficulty…

That guy is fine, it’s just a wooden sword… and shopping cart.

My buddy Miles(Mileson) telling me to just buy my crap and get out.

So now I’m working on getting my WiiU setup in my home.  It’s not done yet, but I hope to be playing it before my kid wakes up.

All very cool stuff… but do I need two cradles for the UMote? Isn’t just the charging one good enough?

Hopefully you guys had better luck getting a WiiU rather than having to return to the store later.  These should be in high demand later this holiday season.  Keep in mind though, you don’t really need the deluxe.  I just like the color more.  If anyone makes the argument about the hard drive, just flick their nose.  If you’re seriously gonna go digital with the WiiU you’ll be buying a separate hard drive no matter which version you get.  Game on friends, game on.

Funny pictures Jon. Holly and I are waiting to get our Wii U until next year… probably around when the new Zelda arrives. I’m mostly excited for Dragonborn next month. My level 58 Nord needs some more action. 😀

Thanks man. Yeh, I was on the fence even standing in line. I do enjoy it though. It’s a crazy neat device and I’ve not even played a WiiU game on it yet lol.

That Dragonborn expansion looks sick too man.

I’m interested to see more of your opinion on play, and how much you enjoy it. As well as how often you play on your tv vs the screened controller pad dealy thinger. I too want to get one, and I must say…I’m a little surprised on the “supply” end of you not being able to get one. I thought we passed all that supply/demand bull-malarky back with the onset of the xbox360, ps3, & original wii. I “never” preorder anything anymore unless there’s a benefit, because I know the game/console will be in stock. Anyhow, let me know how MarioU is. I have an affinity for the game series that made me buy a Nintendo back in 1985.
